What is Islam ? Meaning of Islam
Linguistically, Islam means submission. According to Islamic terminology, Islam means a specified submission. It is the submission to what the prophet brought. This takes place by uttering the THE TWO TESTIFICATIONS OF FAITH. Belief, on the other hand, linguistically means certitude. According to Islamic terminology, it means a specified certitude. It is to accept as true what the prophet brought. The least of Belief is to belief in the THE TWO TESTIFICATIONS OF FAITH. Islam and Belief cannot be disassociated. One of them is not accepted without the other, although their original meaning are not identical. Imam Abu Hanifah said in Al-Fiqh Al-’Akbar: "Islam is not acceptable without Belief and Belief is not accepted without Islam. They are like the front of something and its back." Islam is the Religion of all the prophets.

Allâh the exalted said in the Holy Qur’ân in Surat-Taḥrim: يا أيها الذين ءامنوا قوا أنفسَكم وأهليكُم نارا وقودُها الناسُ والحجارة This ayah means: « O you who believed protect yourselves and your families from Hellfire, which is fuelled by people and stones. » Prophet Muḥammad peace be upon Him said what means: « Every one of you is a guardian over his dependents and is responsible for the action of these persons who are dependent on him. »

The Story of Prophet Ibrahim Abraham in Islam

Islam is a condition of acceptance of good deeds
To have a good belief is a condition for the acceptance of good works. So without the good belief of Islam, there is no reward in the hereafter. Allâh Taʿâlâ said: { مَثَلُ الّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِرَبِّهِمْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ كَرَمَادٍ اشْتَدّتْ بِهِ الرِّيحُ فِي يَوْمٍ عَاصِفٍ } which means: « The works of those who disbelieved, are like ashes carried away by the wind, a stormy day », [surat Ibrâhîm / ’âyah 18].

Protect his Islam: Avoid Apostasy and Blasphemy
Thus becomes a blasphemer who attributes to God the son, even if he said it by joking or under the effect of anger or by not aiming at the true meaning of the word son and even the one who attributes to God the space or time or change or organs or mood or direction or whatever is attributes of creatures. In the same way, becomes a disbeliever whoever claims to be a non-Muslim or support the disbelief or approves the disbelief or denies the law of God or belittles it or one of the prophets or angels, or attributes to him disbelief. How Does One Become a Muslim ? Convert to Islam
One becomes a Muslim by believing in the Two Testifications of Faith and uttering them with the intention of leaving out blasphemy. The Two Testifications of Faith are: I testify that no one is God except God and I testify that Muḥammad is the prophet of God. If someone does not know how to say Muḥammad he can call the prophet by Abu l-Gaacim: no one is God except God and Abu l-Gaacim is the prophet of God.
